I bought rhis to replace a 2- stroke Stihl leaf blower that I had had for many years.
The stihl had great difficulty in starting when it was cold (i.e. When it was most needed). I had to keep it in the kitchen to be sure it might start.
Makita starts 1st or 2nd pull and is mutch easier to prime. Money well spent. Alan Wadkins PDI before sending out so oil already in sump ahd arrived nesxt day.
Excellent price, service and machine.
Good price, good service

Makita BHX2501 4 stroke hand held leaf blower 25.4cc (Pre Delivery Ins

Wish I had bought one ages ago!\nEasy to start, easy to use, does a good job.\nA little on the heavy side for me, (69 year old male), arm aches after using it for an hour. But we have got a big garden with about 100 trees!

Makita BHX2501 4 stroke hand held leaf blower

Have been a gardener for over 25 years and now 63 years old. Have used other well known brands which are noisy and 2 stroke mix.\nThis machine runs quiet, easy to fill, no mixing oils and petrol. Vibration low. No more heavy than best known two stroke blowers. \n\nAGAINST> it does smoke if you turn it on its side not like 2 stroke.\n\nIf you are left handed brill, as "fan" tends to suck your trousers if you are right handed.\n\nI will never buy another 2 stroke however!

Makita BHX2501 4 stroke hand held leaf blower

Brilliant so far, now I have only used it once but it started so easily and really is so quiet. I didn't have much petrol left but I needed to clean paths after strimming so I decided to go for it and it completed the job for me on a frugal allowance of fuel. Easy put together, blower tubes lock in place so they won't vibrate loose and a very comprehensive manual which has all the English section together instead of interspersed with every other language under the sun. No regrets on this purchase. John K

Makita BHX2501 4 stroke hand held leaf blower

Very impressed with the power of the leaf blower. I actually used it first on blowing bits of moss, lichen and soil which remained after I had removed all of this from between stones on a large cobbled parking area.\n\nI bought this particular model because of the excellent reviews I had read. I thought it looked expensive but having used it I soon realised you get what you pay for [mostly!]\n\nThis is the first blower I have ever used so can"t compare to other models.\nAll in all -very impressed with my purchase.

Makita BHX2501 4 stroke hand held leaf blower

Was looking for a more compact 4 stroke leaf blower when I came across this one. \nBit pricy on the net till I found Watkins price, between 40 and 90 pounds cheaper than most. Ordered, delivered and operational in 2 days. Nice little machine and only a three click process when you get it out the box. They even give you a wee bottle of oil to get you started. Used it twice since purchase, great wee machine.

Makita BHX2501 4 stroke hand held leaf blower

My first petrol leaf blower, purchased with some reluctance on advice from my contractor who recently re-laid much of my garden with artificial turf and advised that a powerful machine would pay dividends in time-saving and keeping it pristine and free from leaves and debris .The Makita is very powerful and easy to start but a little heavy even for a fit 77 yearold male. It doesn't lift pigeon feathers even on full power which is probably not the machine's fault as it easily lifts wet leaves.
