Low score as I have not used the saw

February 13, 2022 | Neil Parnaby

Very easy to set up and use. Guides leave a bit to be desired but I expect as I get used to them I will find it better. My old Startrite tilt arbor was so good. To adjust the height or angle of the blade is very easy with one handle.

Makita Table Saw MLT100 240 volt Option: 240V

You would think that Makita could do better. I had to make my own rip fence, one that extends across the table and locks down at both ends, the one that comes with it is dangerous, way too much play at the end that sits in the middle of the table, it would be impossible to get a true cut with it, and the potential for serious kick back looms large. The insert for changing the blade is made of weak plastic, and bends when downward pressure is applied, again making a true cut impossible. I had one made out of steel to replace it. That said, once I got it set up and adjusted, it does the job, so I'm happy enough with it, but you shouldn't have to fix a tool before you can use it, and Makita has lost my trade, and I've been using their tools for over 30 years. \nSincerely,\nDave Bell\n
